Here are a list of characters in The Once and Future Ranger.

Dr. William David “Will” Cranston, Ph.D./Blue Ranger Edit

Cranston, billy

By 2013, Dr. Will Cranston is a very different person than he was as a teenager – he’s lost his Ranger powers (although he did complete the training necessary to become a Morphin Master), one of his best friends, his mentor, and is a widow twice over.  Haunted by the assassination of his second wife, Trianna of Triforia, two weeks earlier, Will designs a time machine to take him back to the Countdown to Destruction so he could change history.  Unfortunately, an untimely arrival of a Blue Senturion arrest squad led to a miscalculation which resulted in him being catapulted back in time 20 years…back to his days as the Mighty Morphin Blue Ranger.

Now in 1993 and armed with both future knowledge and practical experience, Will (masquerading as his 15-year-old self, Billy) has the ability and desire to single-handedly change the course of history.  However, both his friends and his enemies can see the changes in the Blue Ranger – changes neither side likes.

As the Blue Ranger, Will carries a Blade Blaster as his Ranger sidearm, and uses the Power Lance as his personal weapon.  He commands the Triceratops Dinozord.

Trianna Cranston of Triforia (d. 2013) Edit

Dr. Will Cranston’s second wife and cousin to Trey, the Gold Ranger and King of Triforia

In 2013, Trianna was assassinated, and her death was the catalyst Will needed to travel back in time to try and change history.

Jason Lee Scott/Red Ranger Edit

Leader of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers

As the Red Ranger, Jason carries a Blade Blaster as his Ranger sidearm, and uses the Power Sword as his personal weapon.  He commands the Tyrannosaurus Dinozord.

Zachary Emanuel “Zack” Taylor/Black Ranger Edit

Trini Kwan/Yellow Ranger Edit

Kimberly Ann “Kim” Hart/Pink Ranger Edit

Thomas James “Tommy” Oliver/Green Ranger Edit

Zordon Edit

A powerful wizard and mentor to the Power Rangers of Earth, Zordon of Eltar is a galactic hero for his actions during the Grid War 10,000 years ago. In the final battle of the Grid War, Rita Repulsa managed to trap Zordon in an interdimensional time warp before she and her minions were sealed away in a Space Dumpster by Zordon’s Rangers.

After the battles ceased, Zordon decided to use Earth as his new base of operations, setting up in the deserts of California. This was a great choice as Rita’s dumpster eventually crash-landed on the Moon of Earth, proceeding to launch her attacks in the vicinity of Zordon’s Command Center.

When Rita was released in 1993, Zordon, with the help of his trusted assistant, Alpha 5, sought out “five teenagers with attitude.” He recruited Jason Lee Scott, Zack Taylor, Kimberly Hart, Trini Kwan, and Billy Cranston to be the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Zordon acted as a mentor and advisor for the team, revealing Zords, equipment and useful information whenever the time was right. When Rita used her Power Coin and brainwashed Tommy Oliver into being the evil Green Ranger, his first task was to sabotage Zordon’s connection to our dimension. The Rangers and Alpha were unable to contact him for some time, which made matters more difficult for them. It was only when Alpha re-established contact with Zordon that the tide began to turn in the Rangers’ favor and Tommy was freed from Rita’s influence.

Despite being trapped in another dimension, Zordon frequently demonstrated great power and awareness. He knew a great deal about things as they were occurring, and also demonstrated sincere concern for each Ranger, offering advice and encouragement for their personal lives as well as for battle.

After Dr. Will Cranston traveled back in time and took over his past self, Zordon sensed the space-time disturbance via the Morhpin’ Grid, but was unable to trace the event back to Will. However, he did share his Rangers’ and their own friends and family’s concerns about Billy’s new attitude.

Millennia ago, Zordon served as the second-in-command of the now-defunct Order of the Meledan, alongside King Lexian of Edenoi, Dulcea of Phaedos, King Zarador of Danata, and the late Princess Narana of Gaelara and Melita, Zeo Guardian. Together, they fought many threats, including Ivan Ooze on a small, uninhabited planet that later became Earth.

Alpha 5 Edit

A “fully-sentient multifunctional automaton”, Alpha 5 served as an assistant to Zordon of Eltar and as the Power Rangers’ technician, constructing weapons for them to use against the Forces of Evil. Alpha was often like a little brother to the Rangers, always wanting to spend time with them and learn things; simultaneously, Alpha also served as an advisor to the Rangers, often providing leadership in Zordon’s absence.

Alpha was constructed on the planet Edenoi by King Lexian, the grandfather of the Masked Rider.

Rita Repulsa Edit

An evil alien witch bent on galactic domination, Rita Repulsa was the first villain the Power Rangers had to face. Rita is well recognized her by her screeching voice and obnoxious attitude. Rita is both sadistic and power hungry.

Rita was a key player in the Grid War 10,000 years ago between the Council of Worlds and the United Alliance of Evil. In the final battle of the Grid War, Rita managed to trap Zordon in an interdimensional time warp before she and her minions were sealed away in a Space Dumpster by Zordon’s Rangers.

When she and her minions, Goldar, Squatt and Baboo, and Finster, were released from the dumpster in 1993, Rita began her attack on Earth, but was thwarted by Zordon’s new team of Rangers, Jason Lee Scott, Zack Taylor, Kimberly Hart, Trini Kwan, and Billy Cranston.

Her father, Master Vile, conquered the M-51 galaxy millennia ago, and her younger brother Rito is a powerful, but incompetent warrior.

Goldar Edit

Rita Repulsa’s number-one henchman, Goldar of Titan maintains severe rivalries with Jason Scott, the Red Ranger, and Tommy Oliver, the Green Ranger.

After returning back in time, Dr. Will Cranston (masquerading as his past self) bested and nearly destroyed Goldar

Farkas “Bulk” Bulkmeier and Eugene “Skull” Skullovitch Edit

Both lifetime residents of Angel Grove, Farkas Bulkmeier and Eugene Skullovitch became friends as little kids.  Because neither of them were the smartest or most handsome kids in town (that honor belonged to the original five Power Rangers – Jason, Zack, Kimberly, Billy, and Trini), they made up for it by acting out.  By their freshman year of high school, Bulk and Skull were considered the school bullies.

After finding themselves frequently caught between the Power Rangers and Rita Repulsa, Bulk and Skull curved their bullying ways, and focused their energy on trying to uncover the true identities of the Rangers.

Despite their obvious character flaws, both Bulk and Skull realized that there was something different about Billy Cranston after his future self traveled back in time (although neither one of them could put their finger on just what was wrong with him).

Ernie Genelle Edit

Owner and operator of the Angel Grove Youth Center, Gym & Juice Bar

Before he moved to Angel Grove, Ernie served in the United States Marine Corps.

Principal Caplan Edit

The principal of Angel Grove High School

Mrs. Appleby Edit

A teacher at Angel Grove High School

Mr. Wilbur Wilton Edit

Science teacher at Angel Grove High School; Billy Cranston is one of his top students
